SerialDater: She wouldn’t be the person I’d call if I got arrested because she’d be sitting in the jail cell with me. She’s my partner in crime, neighbor, texting/IMing/emailing buddy, advice giver and recipient, drinking partner, etc. Being around her makes me forget that I’m 4 years older than her. Actually 4 years and 17 days. But who’s keeping track?

BFF: Like the name says, she’s my bestest friend. She’s the sister I never had. Always gives me motherly advice and frequently wants to shake me when I do something she doesn’t agree with. In school to become the best nurse ever.

Roomie: My roommate for over 2 years now. The yin to my yang. We are polar opposites. I’m messy, she’s clean. I’m early, she’s late. I have a good sense of direction, she could get lost in a closet. I’m a tall blonde, she’s a short brunette. I’m a carnivore, she’s a vegetarian. Get my drift? She doesn’t really approve of me having a pole in the apartment though.

Fundraiser: Loves me some Fundraiser. I don’t get to see Fundraiser as much as I want because she’s always traveling for work. She’s a very down to earth person with a very crazy cat. And she has a cleaning lady I’d kill to have. Just ran her first marathon.

Marge: The only person who can rock a Southern accent. Marge is super fun to hang out with and likes to use phrases like, “whoa nelly”. Tries to keep book club on track. She just moved to VA to go to grad school. I miss her terribly.

Katie: Member of my book club and small group. Fun girl to hang out with. Always up for a good time. We share a love of Polka Dot Reisling.

Law: Kickass lawyer. Newlywed. Has an awesome dog. Was there for me during the whole jobless thing.

Leeny: One of our new book club girls. Totally awesome. Gets in to trouble with me at country bars.

Name Twin: A coworker at my new job. Shares the same name as me. Just graduated from college and moved here from Maine. Helps keep me from killing the payroll wench.

T: One of Roomie’s good friends. Moved here a year ago. Likes to try and get Roomie to eat meat.

Jools: The crazy South African. Hosts dance parties after book club. Says stuff like, “Respect the poonani!”

Cheers Favorite: Formerly known as RioD, Cheers Favorite came out to New Cheers with us one weeknight and the owner absolutely adored her. Hence the new name. She’s totally awesome and is always up for a good time.

Grabs: Another awesome girl from bookclub. Is always looking to have a good time and was recently introduced to New Cheers.

The Cowboy: We dated over the summer. He was someone I never thought I would be with (a cowboy hat wearing country boy who lived an hour from the city). Broke up with me to get back together with an old girlfriend, who dumped him a few weeks later.

The Bartender: A guy I dated last fall. We had great chemistry and he was crazy about me. But he also had 2 kids and was going through a divorce.

The Ex: He’s the one I was engaged to. Our breakup was mutual so we’ve remained good friends. Lives in Birmingham.

Afroman: A guy I met at Cheers last winter. He called to ask me out but I never returned the call. We keep running into each other at the bar. Would be interested if he weren’t a 21 year-old pothead.

Aquatic Vertabrate: Met at a party and became friends when he offered to help me fix my computer. Decided to try and be more than friends a few weeks ago and I’ve ignored him since.

The Geologist: A friend of BFF’s. I can’t decide if I like him. Baked me cupcakes when i lost my job. But lives in another state.

Favorite Bartender, New Favorite Bartender and GWin: Bartenders at New Cheers. 3 of my favorite guys (cause they give me free booze).

The Big Italian: (formerly known as Ed Hardy Dude): He’s tall. He’s Italian. He’s a manwhore. Lives next door to the bar.
